Over the past few weeks, there has been a very noticeable and disturbing rise in gun violence in Queensbridge, Ravenswood, Astoria Houses, and Woodside Houses in Queens, as well as a significant uptick in gun violence throughout the city. As a response to the violence, many organizations are coming together this Saturday, September 19th to make a statement to our communities, especially to the youths, that this can not continue.
Please join us as we march to each mentioned development in Queens and offer our prayers for peace. Also, please share widely with your networks so that we can have a turn out that will make a major impact on not just Western Queens, but the entire city.
We will be meeting at Astoria Houses at 12 noon. If you come to 4-25 Astoria Blvd, you will see all of us assembled and ready to walk!
