Last night, the J4AC convened at the Jacob Riis Center for our monthly Community Meeting. Along with many community members, we were joined by Council member Jimmy Van Bramer, who spoke with J4AC for about 30 minutes. Also in the crowd was City Limits Staff Writer Abigail Savitch-Lew who completed a write-up about the event.

The Queens Gazette also covered the event.

Monday’s meeting was well-attended…

some might even say packed, given that many had to listen from the hallway.

We heard from many members of the Coalition, including Stan Morse, our lead organizer…

Nick Velkov – who outlined the developments in LIC we’re most concerned about (more here)

as well as a professor at LaGuardia Community College, who brought his class to the meeting.
